Jeff Yong is a Singapore-based Malaysian cinematographer dedicated to narrative and visual storytelling. He is selected as one of the cinematography fellows for the Asian Film Academy in 2019. As a graduate of Terre Di Cinema (2023) and Natasha Braier ASC ADF’s masterclass, his work has screened at international festivals including CINEDANS, Ji.hlava IDFF, Figari Short Film Fest, Art Basel Hong Kong by Nowness Asia, SGIFF, amongst others. Latex Labyrinth, a dance film born from his search of photographing the rubber tree estates where his grandparents once lived, won the Eyes Catcher Short Award Dance Category 2025. With experience shooting films across Asia, Jeff believes that cinema becomes universal when the camera honors the quiet truth of human emotions and the fleeting moments.
